Off-course I want to use live writer to blog to Elgg. A detailed description of the setup for Drupal was available on the internet with just a simple ‘Drupal Live Writer’ search in Google. This setup was easily adopted for Elgg too (just needed some search for the xmlrpc url).

The eight steps are just:
