Learn for Life
Learn for Life, the Dutch platform for International Adult Education, is a platform for organisations that are active in the field of non-formal education. Every year the organisation awards an International Price to a Dutch organisation or institute that uses its expertise on behalve of innovative projects in the field of adult education on an international scale.
Free Technology Academy
The Free Technology Academy is a joint initiative from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) from Spain, the Open Universiteit of the Netherlands and the University of Agder from Norway, led by the Free Technology Institute. Their aim is to promote and improve education on Open Source and Open Standards using Open Educational Resources. The FTA offers an online master level programme with course modules about Free Technologies.
Six projects
Six projects have been nominated for this award.
- ROC Midden Nederland for the project In Balance.
- Maastricht University for the project Education Against Marginalisation
- Castrum Peregrini for the project Bware: Fanatism
- Scouting Gelderland for the project Validation of non-formal learning in voluntary work
- Free Knowledge Institute for the project Free Technology Academy
- Euro+Songfestival for the project INCREASE
The jury will announce the winner on 12 September in Utrecht.
