New augmented reality tool launched at NOT

Last week, a new augmented reality (AR) tool developed at CELSTEC went live at the NOT (Nederlands Onderwijs Tentoonstelling). |
At the NOT, teachers could record a personal statement. For instance: an introduction to who they are, a question they have on teaching or practical tips for other teachers. After making the recording, personalised business cards were printed with at the backside an AR marker.
The AR tool facilitates replaying these statements using augmented reality and is currently integrated on www.dekrachtvandeleraar.nl. This is a website for teachers, maintained by the Ruud de Moor Centrum (RdMC). The markers on the business cards are linked to their statement. Business cards can be passed to others who can view their statement using AR.
For more information, get in touch with Dirk Börner or Stefaan Ternier or print an AR marker and try this tool live at http://portal.rdmc.ou.nl/portal/leraar/ar.jsp. (Click on 'Download Tag', print it and hold it in front of the webcam.)
