Web 2.0 technology
The aim of the NOVICE project is to review the possibilities of web 2.0 technology for informal lifelong learning in veterinary medicine. This workshop is a one day event to
- review informal learning pedagogies and their effect on the choice of ICT tools
- familiarise delegates with a broad range of social software
- stimulate discussion on the role of technology stewards (staff within educational institutes involved in supporting students and graduates in the pedagogical sound way of using technology for learning).
Experts
Workshops will be facilitated by experts with extensive knowledge on ICT pedagogies, among whom Marco Kalz (CELSTEC). Kalz will focus on Personal Learning Environments (PLE). The workshop is for staff from veterinary schools in Europe or elsewhere, involved in (improving) education, and/or with affinity for pedagogies of ICT.
NOVICE
NOVICE (Network On Veterinary ICT in Education), is an EU funded initiative under the umbrella of the Lifelong Learning Programme. Novice partners are veterinary schools in London, Bucharest, Budapest, Hannover and Utrecht.
