Successful conclusion of European TENCompetence project

In February 2010 the final TENCompetence review has taken place. The reviewers concluded that the project was very successful and all recommendations were accepted. The four-year TENCompetence project, funded by the EC, developed infrastructure for lifelong competence development in Europe. CELSTEC was one of the 15 European partners and coordinator of the TENCompetence project.

January 18th 2010 CELSTEC’s prof. dr. Peter Sloep was consulted as an expert by the ‘standaardisatieforum’. This forum is an important advisor of the ‘standaardisatiecollege’ of the Dutch government. This college decides which standards are included the lists of standards supported by the government.

CELSTEC en Biebkracht CoP

On January 15th 2010, Biebkracht was launched. Biebkracht is a learning network of the public libraries of Gelderland, a province of the Netherlands. In the network the libraries of Gelderland and Biblioservice Gelderland collaborate in order to share knowledge and to develop the libraries.

MACE project successfully concluded

MACE stands for Metadata for Architectural Contents in Europe. The MACE project team developed an internet based information system that links up major international architectural archives with data records about completed and presently planned construction projects. The European Commission supported this initiative from 1 September 2006 to 31 August 2009 in the eContentplus programme.

‘Service Centre Lifelong Learning Limburg’, a joint project of the Arcus College, Leeuwenborgh Opleidingen, Open Universiteit Nederland and Hogeschool Zuyd, received on 14 October 2009 the go-ahead from OP-Zuid, the authority that granted the subsidy.
